UV inkjet printing is a digital printing process in which special UV-curing inks are applied to the label material and cured immediately by UV light. This technology enables high-resolution, smudge-proof and scratch-resistant printing on various surfaces such as paper, plastic and metal foils. Especially in industrial labeling, medical technology and the automotive industry, UV inkjet offers durable and chemical- as well as weather-resistant marking. Since no evaporative solvents are used, the process is suitable for environmentally friendly, low-VOC applications. The immediate drying allows high production speeds and direct further processing without waiting time. UV inkjet printing systems can be used for variable data, barcodes, serial numbers as well as for colored graphics. The use of hard or flexible UV inks allows the adhesion to be optimized on different materials. Compared to classic printing processes, UV inkjet offers high resistance, printing flexibility and excellent print quality, especially for industrial applications with high demands on durability and legibility.
