It is a specially developed two-layer film for the production of labels using laser marking systems (laser engraving).

  • Diesel fuel (4h): no changes

What adhesive is used on the BY086PET foil?

The S8029 adhesive is a rubber hybridized acrylic (RHA) and offers very high final adhesion, even on difficult-to-bond (low-energy) surfaces. It is also highly resistant to chemicals and temperature loads.

What is the backing material (liner) of the BY086PET foil?

The liner material is BG45 white FSC, a supercalendered glassine paper. It consists of FSC®-certified paper (FSC Mix Credit, Chain-of-Custody-No. CU-COC-807907, License code FSC-C004451).

The foil is specially developed for laser marking and laser cutting. The black coating of the white polyester foil is removed with the laser, creating a white image. The emission is non-corrosive.

Which lasers can be used to process BY086PET foil?

It is designed for fiber lasers and Nd:YAG lasers and enables marking speeds of up to 6000 mm/s and cutting speeds of up to 390 mm/s. A PET liner is recommended for CO₂ lasers. The parameters (power, speed, pulse frequency) must be adapted to the respective laser system.

How long does the BY086PET foil last?

The recommended storage period is two years from the date of manufacture. Storage conditions according to FINAT: 20–25 °C and 40–50% relative humidity. Deviating conditions can reduce the shelf life.
