Flexible Engineer Grade Reflective Foil 7610

silver reflective

Scotchlite High Reflective Film High Gain 7610 has an open wide-angle retroreflective system made of catadioptric glass beads. Incident light is reflected silver-white in a tightly bundled manner back to the light source.

The high manufacturing precision guarantees an extremely uniform and very high retroreflection intensity over the entire surface.

The retroreflective system is applied to a self-adhesive carrier. The high-reflective film is highly flexible and is therefore only suitable for manual application.

The high-reflective film is highly flexible and is therefore only suitable for manual application.

See price list KG-015

Application

  • Industrial quality control; e.g. for material testing using photoelectric scanning. The foil is applied to the material being tested.
  • Surface inspection with projection screens*, e.g. of reflective or polished materials for surface defects in quality control. The surface to be tested does not
    necessarily have to be flat.

* Manufacturer for projection screens will be named upon request

Reflection values / Optical characteristics

Retroreflection value in cd/lx x m² at:
0.2° observation angle and
4° illumination angle
430
0.2° observation angle and
30° illumination angle
450

Daylight color: silver-grey

Reflects the visible range of the spectrum. Only conditionally suitable for wavelengths in the short-wave IR range. If infrared light is to be used, tests are essential. Scotchlite™ 7610 was not developed for IR applications.

Temperature resistance in the bonded state

  • Continuous operation max. up to + 65°C.
  • Briefly (max. 30 minutes) up to + 80°C.
  • Avoid use at low temperatures due to the risk of condensation.

Can be bonded to the following substrates

Paper, cardboard, wood and metal surfaces. Suitable for bonding to plastic (see technical information on bonding).

Bonding

Substrates must be clean, dry and free of grease.
Bonding temperature + 15°C to + 22°C.

SPECIAL FEATURES!

  • For projection screens, the substrate must be extremely smooth
  • Fingerprints on the foil surface can create a slight oil film (skin oil) that reduces reflection. Therefore, wear clean cotton gloves during bonding or clean the foil.
  • Do not stretch the foil if possible.

Cutting

The foils can be cut by hand with sharp scissors or with a sharp carpet cutter. Always cut from the foil side.

Printing

Suitable printing methods on request.

Storage

Cool and dry. Max. shelf life 1 year.

Cleaning

Do not use any agents that have an abrasive effect. Cleaning agent: Warm water with a commercially available household detergent added. Cleaning method: 1. Clean with a wrung-out, damp cloth. 2. Then rinse the cloth clearly, moisten again with clear water and wipe again.
