Product Description

The silver-gray, retroreflective foil has been developed for use in warehouses. When printed in thermal transfer printing with machine-readable barcodes, it facilitates the identification of the stored products; when using remote readers (scanners), the otherwise possible reading distances can be significantly increased. Specific values cannot be provided, as the reading distances depend on the device used.

The effort required to record the inventory can be made more economical by using barcode labels made of 3M 3929 (e.g. by eliminating the need to use ladders, forklifts, etc.).

Processing

Printing:

The smooth surface enables precise marking in thermal transfer printing systems. To achieve the highest possible resistance of the printed image, we recommend the use of resin-based thermal transfer ribbons; e.g. Sony 4070, Limak SH 36, Zebra 5099 and 5097, Sato Premier I, Ricoh B 110 C, Armor AXR 7+.

Due to the complex production process for retroreflective foils, in individual cases,
a higher number of splices may be present, especially in the rolls with a running length of 508m.
