Product Description

tesa® 6940 PV3 silver gloss/black is a two-layer high-speed laser markable foil with an acrylate adhesive. The product’s brittle construction ensures that the label is destroyed upon any attempt to remove or tamper with it, leaving a visible trace (damage to information and label).

Marking and cutting are performed with the laser in a single step, allowing any desired label variant and format to be created from just one base material. The upper layer enables fast marking (up to 4000 mm/sec).

Application as a tamper-proof identification label for the entire lifespan of a product, as well as a data carrier system for intelligent process control.

Irreversibly laser-markable with excellent long-term readability by the human eye or scanning devices
High contrast and excellent marking accuracy enable the creation of even the smallest letters,
numbers, and symbols, including 2D barcodes (Data Matrix, QR codes)
Tampering leaves visible traces (damage to information and label) to prevent re-use
Just-in-time production replaces a multitude of pre-fabricated labels and reduces storage requirements
